ECO SELEKTA ITALIA SRL aims at “ennobling” a plastic material known as PET polyethylene terephtalate.

For the time being, PET is basically used for the production of bottles for mineral waters and soft drinks. Once the bottle content is used, the bottle ends up in a dumping ground, where it consequently impacts the environment.

ECO SELEKTA ITALIA SRL integrates the precious work and activities of CONAI, the Italian consortium of firms which manufacture and/or utilise packing material and whose aim is to recycle plastic material. CONAI was also the first institution in Italy to produce a coherent project for the collection and re-use of plastic.

Thanks to our technology, we can turn plastic bottles into plastic beads ready for future use. During this phase, PET becomes more flexible and easier to be processed than virgin PET, due to a phenomenon of molecular displacement.

Our products are used both in the extrusion process - to produce plates, tubes, etc. - and in the injection process - to produce components for the motor-car industry and the telephony, traffic signs, house-ware, leisure and school items, products for beauty treatments, clockworks, toys, pens, and so on. Our products are the ideal substitute for other, more expensive plastic products.

Technological plus

Our product is the only suitable to replace some plastic materials (i.e. ABS, PC, PMMA, PA) and to be used in those fields where virgin PET is still unfitting.

Environmental plus

Being an ennobled material, recycled without recourse to additive chemicals, PET allows a thorough energetic salvage without contaminating the environment with waste waters, air pollutants, noise.

In addition to the environmental benefits, this ennobled material offers an extraordinary advantage from the point of view of the image, both for the product, which is suitable for a wide industrial use, and for the firm.

At present, ECO SELEKTA ITALIA SRL is situated in Salorno/South-Tyrol, in north-eastern Italy.

The PET ennobled by ECO SELEKTA ITALIA SRL has been submitted to several technical and chemical analyses, which have all proved the product’s technical characteristics briefly mentioned above.

ECO SELEKTA ITALIA SRL can certify the origin of products. Several existing contracts and a number of negotiations under way attest the extraordinary interest in our product, which is fitting for use in different fields and is appreciated both by producers and by environmental-friendly firms.

In 1994 ECO SELEKTA ITALIA SRL obtained recognition of the European Union within the framework of the "LIFE PROJECT", aimed at improving the quality of the environment. Particularly appreciated were the creation and development of methods for recycling or eliminating waste materials, i.e. for directly or indirectly re-using post-consuming materials.
